First Site

This was my first site built. I just kept on updating it, because there was something about that I just didn't like. Turns out it was the color scheme. What can I say, I'm not really a fan of dark sites.

Second Site

So since from my own personal experience that dark coloured sites tend to give me a headache after an hour of surfing, I started to think about others who might have this problem as well. One thing is for sure, white pages tend not to hurt anyone's eyes. Well, not that I know of. So I decided to make the site look a little more professional; white background with grey text. This site also had a cool drop down menu. However it was javascript based and there was a problem with the rendering. That is, whenever one of the site pages was accessed, the drop down menu would show until after the browser read the function(to hide the menu until clicked). I'm yet to find a way around that, the tutorial I read on how to create such a menu seemed to have the same problem anyhow. I guess at the time it didn't matter because I was really still learning a lot. These days, I wouldn't accept such instances!

Lucy Lawless Template

I still hadn't made my transition from the tabular structure to the div structure. The purpose of this site was to make use of the expandable content box. I never intended to make an actual site about the actress.

No more tables. I had moved on from that technique to CSS and div only by now. You can see my first 'CSS only' site over at Xena Gallery Realm, along with some of the older templates related to the site.

I created AMB4ATG with the intention to manage it, but I was over my head. University students don't really have the time to manage sites where the information changes frequently. Well, I know I can't. It's a nice template nevertheless. It had a simple flash header, with a flash drop down, 'opacitated' (i.e. where ever, the menu would fall, one could see the underlying content) menu navigation.

Sci-FiDramaArts

This site, another one which I hoped I had time for. I guess you can see what shows I'm into. Yes, Smallville, One Tree Hill and Heroes. Also all completely designed using the CSS and div technique, it would have been a great site. Just way too much work. It was supposed to host information on those three shows. My friend and I decided to do it ourselves because we both enjoy these shows so much, but again we were in over our heads. Sites like these take a whole group of people to maintain.
