I started using Photoshop in June of 2005. I begun with version 7 and have been hocked on graphic designing ever since. I've tried other graphics designing programs, but I must say I'm most comfortable with Adobe's. I have worked with other Adobe programs such as Illustrator and InDesign, both of which are incredible programs.
The following year, in April 2006, I started playing with what was then known as Macromedia Dreaweaver, today known as Adobe Dreamweaver. However, it was only until the summer of that year where I really got into web designing as I was in college the months before. My first set of websites were all tabularly structured. Also, if you're familiar with Dreamweaver's interface, I worked in both views of the program.
In 2007, I came across this website, CSS Zen Garden. It was then that I realized that I had to move on from tabular structure, and start DIV-ing. I furthermore learnt and do believe, that it's of the webdesigner's best interest, to type his/her code, rather than using a prgram to generate the code. So to train myself, I left Dreamweaver at bay and started doing the code in black and white, using Notepad. :eek Surprisingly, IMO, it wasn't at all a difficult transition. I understood HTML/CSS so much better and I pretty much found my errors much quicker. My first complete CSS site is Xena Gallery Realm. Ever since then, I really only use tables for large amounts data, as it should be.
