v1.0
![]()
The old and first layout. It lived from December 2006 to May 2007.
v2.1![]()
It wasn't bad, just that while I create Xena related sites to display
my stuff, I also do it for html/css practice. The layout contained tables,
a design technique that I wanted to stay clear of. I wanted my entire
layout mastered with CSS (Cascading Style Sheets - they load faster than
tables) so I moved on from this layout. Plus it was the same ole same
ole. Nothing eyes catching in my opinion.
v2.2![]()
I got ideas for this one, however it didn't look the way I had hoped. The
Xena navigation on the side was the best or probably the most annoying thing about
this layout. As one scrolled, the navigation moved fixed to the page. It was
a nice idea, but it may be annoying and I'm not sure how the code would
render on other broswers. So once more, I moved on.
v2.3![]()
This is when I got really serious about CSS. Every thing was positioned
using style sheets. This makingit easier to update the site and faster
to load than table positioned content. Great. However, I disliked the
header very much and fought to do something else.
v2.4
Pretty simple like the previous but hopefully still nice looking. I went through so many designs before I
reached to something that I can open a page to every day. That's why I've
reached to version 2.4. I've had 0.3 other versions before this; You can
view them below. ;) I think the header I got now cuts it. Well, I hope
so!
Now I've got v3.2.5. What you see above. With my busy university schedule (and the crappy internet) I finally managed to update the old code into XHTML.
I decided to keep the old header design and
simply change the colour and the site/theme name style because I just adore that design and I'm not tired of looking at it yet. ;) Plus the famous purple is a nice colour balance for the blend I think. Hehe.
