XENA

Xena, played by Lucy Lawless, is a brave woman in search of redemption for her soul as she once was known for causing heartache of many innocent souls. Xena was the only daughter of mother Cyrene and had two brothers. Her father was a warlord who apparently was more out on the fields of battle than at home. After Xena's village was brutally attacked and one of her brothers was killed, Xena set off on the path of a sword. Along her path, she looses her way and became driven by power and greed. After many years of being a blood thirsty warrior, Xena meets the Legendary Hercules who gave her the push to set a new path. The path of good. With much struggle to change her wicked ways, Xena eventually finds her calling. With a new pride, Xena fights the evil she once was. Xena's quest for redemption ended when she sacrificed her life to right the wrong she had committed many years ago in Japan.

GABRIELLE

Gabrielle, played by Reneé O'Connor, is a young bard from Potedia who stumbled on her yet to be soul mate, Xena, while she and her villagers were being taken by slave drivers. Gabrielle believed that the village life wasn't what she was cut out for. After, Xena had saved her and her villagers from the slave drivers, Gabrielle decided to make her destiny with Xena's. After many years, Gabrielle soon became known as the Battling Bard of Potedia.

CALLISTO

Callisto, also know as the second largest moon of Jupiter ;), played by Hudson Leick, at first glace will give you the impression of a sweetheart. However, Callisto's soul is far from goodness. After dark Xena had raided her village and burnt her family alive, Callisto swore to avenge the loss of her family by making the sole objective of her life to attempt to relieve her own pain by creating similar pain for Xena.

JOXER

Joxer, played by Ted Raimi, comes from a family tree of warriors. Wanting to carry on the family legacy, Joxer attempts to join armies or warlord nations. However, his too awkward skills gains him nothing but a lonely road. One day, Joxer tried to prove himself to Callisto by attempting to kidnap Gabrielle. Though he didn't, when he was given a second chance by Callisto to prove himself as a warrior to kill Gabrielle, he once again showed that the stone cold killer life wasn't his nature. Later, Joxer joined forces for good with Gabrielle and Xena. The love of his life soon became Gabrielle, though she never saw him for anything more than a friend. However, he stuck to her and Xena's sides and can be seen as maybe the most annoying but yet also one of the most loyal friends in the lives of anyone from the Xena land.

SOLAN

Solan, originally played by David Taylor, then later played by Nicko Vella in Season 5's God Fearing Child, is Xena's first born from Borias. During this pregnancy, Xena was still lost with her greed and ill deeds, but like any mother, wanted the best for her child. So she had given her son to be taken care of by Kaleipus, the leader of a centaur tribe. Like most adopted children, Solan was never told who his actual birth parents were. He soon found out (in a dream world known as Illusia) that Xena was his mother after he was killed by Hope. [Complicated story. If you'd like to know more, go watch Xena!!]

ARES

Ares, played by Kevin Smith, is the well know God of War, whose conniving ways often gets him what he wants. However, even a soul of war can perhaps become the soul of love. Ares fell for the beautiful Xena and once even sacrificed his Godhood for her.
